GAME NITE
Show Director / Creative Lead
Benefiting Steps of Faith Foundation
Game Nite is a fundraiser for Steps of Faith Foundation that takes classic TV game shows and reimagines them as a live experience, with local and national celebrities stepping into the contestant roles.
Hosted by Will Forte alongside Sam Richardson, the night was built around familiar game-show formats, audience participation, and plenty of opportunities for things to go wonderfully… or hilariously… off script.
I joined the team in the event’s second year as Show Director, helping shape the flow of the evening from the first welcome to the final buzzer.
My role was to build the run-of-show, direct the stage, prep talent, and keep the energy moving throughout the night. I worked closely with a visual designer who brought the games to life on screen and a game master who adapted the rules, questions, and mechanics for a live audience.
The biggest challenge wasn’t the games—it was the pacing. Every transition, every reveal, every laugh, and every audience reaction changed the rhythm of the show. My job was making sure the energy never stalled and the room stayed with us from beginning to end.
Hosted at Atlas9, the venue became part of the experience. The immersive environment made the event feel less like a fundraiser and more like a live television game show that just happened to raise money for an incredible cause.
